Summer things...

Wow!! It blows my mind that it is already mid July -- CRAZY... At the end of this month, Jon and I will celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary - it seems like we are way to young to be celebrating 21 years. Gotta admit though - they have been the absolute best years of my life. I hope our next 21+years (and many more) will be just as awesome.
Okay - so back to "can you believe it is already July!!" Let me tell ya what has been going on at our house.
Kayla is working two jobs - Crisps (grocery store in Salem) as well as for the Spanish Fork News Paper. In fact, she will be going out on her first real assignment in about a week - covering some events for Fiesta Days in Spanish Fork. YAY!! She also should be starting school at UVU this fall. Double YAY!!
Karly just got through with 5th grade. She is loving the summer - she has to make sure that she is out with Jon irrigating when it is our turn - she gets really upset if she can't go. She is such a tomboy - all the way!!
Kassidy just finished 1st grade - NO WAY!!! Our little baby is a 2nd grader now? She is thoroughly enjoying the summer running and playing with Karly. Everyday is an ADVENTURE!! They are definitely in their element living in the country. LOVE IT! If they aren't sneaking out to play with their dogs, they are running down to get the horses out and halter them. If that isn't good enough - they will go down to the river bottoms to fish - or get into bigger mischief. They always seem to find a lot of that. They also drive truck with their daddy - when it is time to haul the hay and such off the fields for silage, they HAVE to go with him. Nothing better then driving in a huge farm semi truck. Hey - they are simple gals.. gotta love that.
In June they got to have a sleepover at their Papa & Nana's house with a couple of cousins. It was great fun because they only get to see them 5 or 6 times a year. It was fun to just chill with my hubby while the kids were having fun. NICE to spend some quality time together - not really a lot of time for that. Life is so busy.
So things in our home are going well - I don't want to jinx it but life is GREAT.. I have all that I need - a healthy happy family!
I did get some horrible news from my sister in June. She has stage 4 breast cancer.. The kicker is she is just 37 years old.. She has been going through Chemo and radiation and it has already spread.. Not the news you want to hear. She says she will be getting a double mastectomy sometime soon. She told me the chemo has been making her so ill - she can't really keep any food down and she is losing her hair. Everyday is a new day and she just has the greatest attitude - I am proud of her bravery.. I really hope that she can beat it.
I will write again soon. There is a lot going on the next few weeks!!!
